“Liberty is not the freedom to do what you wish; it is the freedom to do what you ought.” - Lord Acton
Stars and Stripes Honor Flight honors all veterans by flying WWII, Korean War and terminally ill veterans from other conflicts to Washington, DC to visit their memorials. We actively promote educational aspects of this mission in our schools and our communities.
As the last of the Greatest Generation approach their final curtain call, we are witnesses to a tremendous loss as we embrace a precious opportunity. One WWII veteran passes away every 90 seconds. They take their stories and history and enormous bravery with them. But many are among us still. There is no earthly way we can repay the gift of freedom, but with your help we THANK them. In 2013, Stars and Stripes Honor Flight will also start flying Korean War veterans. These men and women fought in what history calls the "Forgotten War" but at Honor Flight we want these veterans to be forgotten no more. Please⦠Help Honor Flight FLY.
